Rio Tinto’s NZAS at Tiwai Point is seeking an Industrial Electrical Tradesperson to support maintenance and repair of critical site equipment. You will work as part of the Tiwai Team and report to the Superintendent or Supervisor, carrying out planned, scheduled and breakdown maintenance across plant and workshop equipment.

About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Electrical Tradesperson to join our Tiwai Team at NZAS, supporting maintenance and repair of critical site equipment.

Reporting to the Superintendent or Supervisor, you will:

• Carry out planned, scheduled and breakdown maintenance across plant and workshop equipment
• Diagnose and repair cranes, machinery and industrial electrical systems
• Mentor apprentices and support capability within the team
• Deliver reliable, high-quality repair work within production timeframes
• Contribute to a strong safety-first and team-oriented culture

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Registered Electrician with a current practising licence (or transferable AU qualification)
• Strong background in industrial, mining or heavy process environments
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic capability
• Experience working with large-scale plant and production equipment
