Job summary

ChillWell in Christchurch seeks an experienced refrigeration technician to fault-find, diagnose and resolve issues across commercial systems. The role covers service, repair, installation and commissioning with a focus on clear, accurate records and customer communication.

You will join a small, hands-on team with autonomy to manage your jobs, including after-hours work, and contribute to growth as the business expands in Canterbury.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified in refrigeration and air conditioning with NZQA Level 4 or recognised equivalent.
• Current NZ driver license and right to work in New Zealand.
• Ability to diagnose faults and complete jobs independently.

Responsibilities

• Fault-find, service and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
• Work on chillers, display cases, freezers and walk-in cold rooms.
• Installations and commissioning; preventive maintenance and breakdown work.
