Kaitaia Intermediate in Northland is seeking a collaborative NZ registered teacher to join as Learning Support Coordinator for two days per week (0.4 FTTE) on a fixed-term basis for the 2027 school year.

The LSC role connects learners with diverse needs to appropriate supports, working with teachers, whānau and external services to enable participation and progress in an inclusive learning environment. The position ends Jan 2028.

Qualificações

• Current NZ teacher registration and a full practising certificate.
• Experience teaching and supporting learners with diverse learning, behavioral, or wellbeing needs.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external services.

Responsabilidades

• Learner and whānau engagement to guide learning supports.
• Co-design support plans with classroom teachers and enhance inclusive practices.
• Coordinate specialist supports (MoE, RTLB, health services) and allocate teacher aides.
• Plan smooth transitions for learners between school levels.
• Contribute data-informed insights with leadership to align interventions.
• Promote Te Tiriti o Waitangi in inclusive education.
