Job summary

HealthCare NZ is seeking empathetic and passionate Community Support Workers to assist clients in Lower Hutt and Wellington City. Roles include helping people live independently at home, with flexibility for full-time or part-time rosters.

You will deliver practical and emotional support according to care plans, including meals, outings, medication assistance, personal care and home management. Training and NZQA qualifications are funded.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and passionate attitude to support others.
• Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable, not essential.
• Full NZ drivers' licence and reliable transport are often required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to live as independently as possible within their homes and community.
• Follow a care plan and provide practical and emotional support.
• Meal preparation, community outings, giving medications, personal care, and home management.
