Job summary

Ministry of Education in Wellington seeks an Analyst, Evaluation & Research to support the team in building evaluation capability and promoting the effective use of evidence across the education system.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality advice, communicating complex information to diverse stakeholders, and helping ensure that learners, whānau, and communities receive appropriate support aligned with policy priorities. This is a fixed-term or secondment opportunity based in Wellington.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation and facilitation, and ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated advanced problem solving and ability to identify innovative solutions to technical problems.
• Adaptability and capacity to cope with a rapidly changing environment.
• Knowledge of evaluation and data collection methods.
• Experience working for government, education agencies, or other large organisations.
• Willingness to uphold Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Support the Evaluation & Research Team to build evaluation capability across the Ministry.
