Job summary

Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA) in Wellington, NZ, seeks a Manager International Development & Insights to lead our model for international volunteering for development. You will drive measurement, evaluation, learning, and thought leadership, monitoring results with robust quantitative and qualitative methods and ensuring timely reporting against organisation-wide measures.

You will guide development practices, build trusted relationships, and innovate in spaces like Social Return on Investment.

Qualifications

Experienced in conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, deriving insights and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
Tertiary level qualification in Development Studies and understanding of international volunteering in development.
Experience in developing work programmes.

Responsibilities

Lead VSA’s model for international volunteering for development and drive innovation in development practice.
Oversee measurement, evaluation, research, learning and thought leadership in this area.
Monitor and communicate results using quantitative and qualitative methods with baseline data and indicators.
Deliver robust, on-time reporting against organisation-wide measures.
Lead development practices to support learning and delivery of outcomes.
Innovate in new spaces, e.g., measuring social return on investment.
