Job summary

New Zealand Government is seeking an ICT Support Technician to provide high-quality repair and maintenance services for laptops, mobile devices, and ICT peripherals. The role involves diagnosing problems, installing and configuring systems, and supporting customers across a busy service environment.

The position requires 30–45 hours per week, with pay between NZD 29 and NZD 35 per hour, and two vacancies. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and be able to work roaster

Qualifications

1 year or more of relevant work experience in IT or electronics or any technical work
Relevant Level 5 qualification can be considered in lieu of work experience
Knowledge repairing and maintaining mobile devices
Understanding of repairing laptops, mobile phones and other electronics

Responsibilities

Quality inspection and auditing of devices
Install and configure hardware, operating systems and applications
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Assemble and disassemble computers and devices
Troubleshoot system and network faults and replace parts as needed
Provide IT advice to commercial customers and prepare reports
Support rollout of new applications and user accounts
Respond to call-outs within agreed time limits
