Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking Hygiene Operators to join a busy Night Shift team at a Food Manufacturing Plant in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Shifts run 21:45–06:00 with a pay rate of $28.42 per hour plus a shift allowance of $8 per shift, based in Mt Wellington.

The role involves cleaning equipment to approved methods, de-kitting lines, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and keeping records of all cleans. Night work requires fitness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
• Basic Chemical awareness and HACCP awareness.
• Ability to follow Cleaning Instruction Card methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is cleaned to approved methods.
• Dekit production lines and return parts to correct location after cleaning.
• Maintain quality, safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Isolate machinery prior to cleaning and protect electrical equipment from water damage.
• Keep records of all cleans including the environment.

About the Role:

• Night shifts from 21:45 - 06:00
• $28.42ph

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that equipment is cleaned to the approved methods.
• Production lines are effectively de-kitted, and parts returned to the correct location after cleaning.
• Ensure that quality, safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure that all machinery is isolated prior to cleaning and that any electrical equipment is suitably protected from potential water damage.
• Ensure that records are kept of all cleans including the environment.

Skills required:

• Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
• Basic Chemical awareness
• Competent in Cleaning Instruction Card methods of cleaning
• HACCP training course
• CIP experience preferred
• Be relatively physically fit and able to do some manual lifting
• Have a solid understanding of GMP and food production-related hygiene standards
• Be able to provide 2x work related references
