Watersports Limited in Queenstown is hiring a full-time Hydro Attack Shark Driver to deliver safe, thrilling rides on the world’s first commercial Seabreacher Sharks. You will pilot live submersible craft on Lake Wakatipu, providing engaging commentary and top-tier customer experience.

The role requires a full NZ driver’s licence, a passion for adventure, and a strong focus on safety. Availability includes weekends and public holidays; height/weight considerations apply for fixed cockpits.

Watersports Limited is a dynamic new company uniting some of Queenstown’s most exciting water-based experiences. Our portfolio includes the newly rebrandedThunder Jet,Queenstown Paraflights,Hydro Attack,Queenstown Jet Ski Tours,Queenstown Ferries, andBoat Charters.

We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our crew as afull-time Hydro Attack Shark Driver- an opportunity to be part of theworld’s first commercial operation of its kind.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for delivering a safe, unique, and exhilarating experience for every passenger who steps aboard. As a driver, you’ll pilot our submersible Hydro Attack Sharks on thrilling rides across Lake Wakatipu.

Driving & Customer Experience

Deliver safe, informative, and exhilarating Hydro Attack Shark rides.

Engage and guide customers throughout the experience, ensuring exceptional service and enjoyment.

Provide clear commentary aligned with company guidelines and training.

Assist with kiosk operations, including reservations, sales, USB creation, and social media updates.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless daily operations.

Safety & Compliance

Operate within company safety standards and Maritime NZ regulations.

Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.

Maintain accurate and timely driver logs and operational records.

Maintain professional radio communication with all commercial operators.

• Someone with a full clean NZ driver’s licence
• A love for adventure and the Queenstown lifestyle
• An SRL would be advantageous but not essential- there is potential for skipper training and progression within company

What your New Zealand working rights are

If you have any experience with jet skis or boating experience.

If you have any experience as a guide or in a customer service position.

Hours of Work

This role offers guaranteed ordinary hours of 70 hours per fortnight, to be worked between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Sunday (inclusive). Availability to work on public holidays is also required as part of the position.
