Placements24 is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for a client in the Oil & Gas sector based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on safe design, operation, and maintenance of facilities, minimizing risks from hazardous materials and processes.

The position supports a hybrid model with site assessments and remote data analysis. You will perform hazard identifications, risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety procedures to protect people, the environment, and assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in process safety management.
• Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment methods such as HAZOP/LOPA.
• Strong technical background in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to design and maintain safe facilities.

Responsabilités

• Conduct hazard identification studies and risk assessments (HAZOP, LOPA).
• Develop and implement safety procedures to safeguard personnel, environment and assets.
• Contribute to safe design, operation, and maintenance of facilities.
• Work in a hybrid model combining site assessments with remote data analysis and reporting.
