You will evaluate applications, monitor portfolios, and ensure compliance with credit policies while developing financial models and communicating decisions to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of credit analysis, lending, or related financial role.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and credit scoring principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with credit underwriting standards and regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a Hybrid work environment in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and assess the credit risk of potential borrowers (individuals and businesses).
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data to determine creditworthiness.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approval or rejection.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios for signs of distress and adherence to credit terms.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast borrower repayment capacity.
• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather information and explain credit decisions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and economic conditions that may impact credit risk.
• Assist in the review and refinement of credit scoring models and lending policies.
