Job summary

Hyspecs Automation and Controls, Auckland, seeks a proactive sales and technical support specialist to manage the full customer journey from first engagement to ongoing relationship management.

The role spans automation and electrification products, pricing input, technical presentations, and collaboration with engineering teams, with travel across New Zealand as required. A strong mix of sales and technical skills is essential.

Qualifications

• A technical qualification or engineering degree with understanding of electromechanical principles.
• At least five years of sales, hands-on technical, or related industry experience.
• Knowledge of automation and electrification products incl PLCs, motion controls, HMIs, I/O.
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and manage profitable growth.
• Strong communication, project management, and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel within New Zealand to visit customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, and develop new customer opportunities within territory and partners.
• Provide sales and technical support across Automation products.
• Review customer applications and recommend best solutions with engineering teams.
• Determine pricing for direct customers and work with partners on pricing.
• Input to sales, product, and customer support on policies and growth initiatives.
• Deliver technical presentations and provide basic product training as required.
• Maintain CRM reporting for account activity and opportunities.
• Travel within New Zealand to visit customers as required.
