Job summary

Daikin in Auckland is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join the team, bridging sales, projects, commissioning and service with hands‑on technical expertise in HVAC, electrical controls and automation. You will become the vital link between Daikin, its customers and internal teams, travelling 1–2 nights per week to support sites and installations.

You should bring solid experience in commercial HVAC or electrical/controls environments and be comfortable presenting solutions to customers

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose faults and propose practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors and internal teams.
• Experience working across sales, projects, commissioning and service environments.
• Minimum 5 years' working experience in NZ with HVAC/electrical controls or automation.

Responsibilities

• Support projects through delivery, commissioning and handover.
• Diagnose faults and provide practical technical solutions.
• Assist customers, contractors, sales, projects and service teams.
• Build expertise across HVAC equipment and control technologies.
• Support warranty investigations, inspections and technical documentation.
• Share knowledge with less-experienced team members.
