Job summary

AB Equipment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our People & Culture team in Auckland. This part-time role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and employee relations to performance and development, with a focus on practical, commercial HR guidance.

You will partner with managers across our nationwide business, delivering policy guidance and employment documentation while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Coordinator role
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice
• Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems

Responsibilities

HR Advisor - Part Time

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our People & Culture team based in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with managers and employees across our nationwide business, providing practical and commercial HR advice in a fast-paced and diverse environment

About your new role:

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, engagement initiatives, learning and development, policy guidance, and employment documentation. This role is required on a part-time basis for 3 days a week.
