JDE Peet’s is seeking an enthusiastic Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to support our Otara manufacturing site and East Tamaki head office in New Zealand. You will partner with leaders to drive health, safety and environmental initiatives and help foster a positive safety culture across the business.

Working with the HSE Lead and frontline teams, you’ll provide practical guidance, maintain HSMS documents, lead incident investigations and deliver HSE training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health, Safety and/or Environmental role.
• Understanding of health and safety frameworks, risk assessment methodologies and hazard management practices.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with various employees.
• The confidence to coach, influence and support others to drive positive HSE outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and the desire to further develop your HSE career.
• Pragmatic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Valid unrestricted work visa.

Responsabilités

• Support the HSE Lead to implement HSE strategy, annual plans and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Partner with leaders and employees to provide practical HSE advice, coaching and guidance on everyday health, safety and environmental matters.
• Coordinate and maintain the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS), ensuring documentation, processes and records remain current and compliant.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, audits, hazard management and assurance activities to support operational compliance.
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes, working alongside leaders and external providers to achieve positive outcomes.
• Delivering and coordinating HSE training, toolbox talks, worker engagement initiatives and participation programmes.
• Monitor HSE performance data, identifying trends and preparing reports that help inform decision-making and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and the achievement of site environmental objectives.
