Job summary

Evolve Education Group is seeking a junior HR Coordinator for a fixed-term project role in Auckland to lead an important compliance-focused initiative. You will support the Ministry of Education requirements related to overseas Police Vetting for core workers and work with centres nationwide to gather data and update records.

You will identify affected staff, liaise with kaimahi, support the vetting process and keep safety check documentation current.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in an HR, recruitment, coordination or administration role.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with legislative or compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of people.
• Proactive approach and confidence engaging with employees and centre teams.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing employee records to identify core workers who may require overseas Police Vetting checks.
• Engaging with kaimahi across the country to explain requirements and obtain documentation and consent.
• Supporting employees through the overseas Police Vetting process and coordinating information collection.
• Updating safety check documentation and maintaining accurate compliance records.
• Monitoring progress, tracking outcomes and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Providing general HR administration and project support as required.
