Job summary

Beyond Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation in Auckland to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to support leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle.

This hands-on, generalist role provides pragmatic advice, drives consistent people practices, and contributes to a positive culture and performance outcomes. You will engage across policies, recruitment, ER, and development initiatives while maintaining HR documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
• 2-3 years proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
• Confident communicator able to influence, coach and build trust with leaders.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach with good judgement and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice to leaders and employees (policies, performance, ER, absence, conduct).
• Support end-to-end recruitment processes, onboarding, and probation reviews.
• Assist with performance and development processes and coaching conversations.
• Support employment relations matters (disciplinary, grievances, investigations) with sound process and documentation.
• Contribute to HR projects (policy updates, engagement initiatives, change support).
• Maintain accurate HR documentation and support reporting/administration as required.
• Partner with key stakeholders to promote best-practice, consistent people decisions.
