Job summary

AB Equipment in Auckland seeks an experienced HR Advisor to support the full employee lifecycle across our nationwide business, partnering with managers and employees to deliver practical HR solutions.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this part-time role (3 days/week) focuses on recruitment, employee relations, performance, engagement, learning, policy guidance, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Coordinator role.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment and documentation.
• Provide practical and commercial HR advice to managers and staff.
• Handle employee relations, performance, engagement, and learning initiatives.
• Provide policy guidance and maintain employment documentation.
• Partner with managers across the nationwide business to enable growth.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our People & Culture team based in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with managers and employees across our nationwide business, providing practical and commercial HR advice in a fast-paced and diverse environment

About your new role:

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, engagement initiatives, learning and development, policy guidance, and employment documentation. This role is required on a part-time basis for 3 days a week.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Coordinator role
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice
