Job summary

Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking a Housing Support Manager to work directly with a portfolio of customers and their whānau, delivering tailored housing and wellbeing support and building enduring relationships. You will visit Kāinga Ora homes, attend meetings with stakeholders, and occasionally travel long distances around the region to ensure services stay in place.

Experience with tenancy and debt recovery is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in tenancy, emergency or social housing.
• Knowledge of Residential Tenancy Act.
• Full, clean NZ driver's licence.
• Ability to travel long distances around the region.

Responsibilities

• Support customers to achieve housing and social stability.
• Visit customers at Kāinga Ora homes and attend stakeholder meetings.
• Manage rent arrears and debt recovery.
• De-escalate difficult conversations with customers and stakeholders.
• Travel around the local region to provide tailored support.
