Whangaparāoa College in Auckland is embarking on an exciting 3-school model from 2027. We seek dedicated House Deans to deliver high‑quality pastoral care, guidance and belonging within a whānau‑like House across several year levels.

The ideal applicant will bring confidence, restorative practice expertise, de‑escalation skills, data analysis capabilities and a collaborative approach to planning and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in restorative practice and de-escalation strategies.
• Ability to analyse learner and school data to inform planning.
• Experience leading or contributing to pastoral care and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and guidance to learners across multiple year levels.
• Foster a whānau‑like House culture and strong House spirit.
• Support deliberate rotation of pastoral leadership across the three schools.
