Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora's Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldier Memorial Hospital Pharmacy team is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, distribute and manage medications for inpatients, outpatients and ward imprest systems. You will work with pharmacists and the clinical team to ensure timely, accurate medication supply and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician qualification recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of NZ.
• National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) Level 5 or above.
• PACT certification and familiarity with ePharmacy (DXC).

Responsibilities

• Pick and label medications accurately for inpatients, outpatients and ward imprest.
• Manage repacks and assist with prescription processing.
• Maintain stock levels and support drug imprest services.
• Communicate with wards about supply issues.
• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed items if PACT certified.
