Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Nelson Marlborough in Nelson is seeking an Orderly to support patient care by safely moving patients and items around the hospital at the right time and place, in a courteous and professional manner.

The role requires flexibility with working hours, no fixed days, and involvement in peak capacity coverage. A strong team environment and commitment to quality patient care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with ability to deliver patient care.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Hold a clean driver’s licence.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.

About the Role

As an Orderly, you willsupportpatient care by safely moving patients and items around the hospital at theright time, to the right place, in a courteous, professional and well-presentedmanner.

The working hours will be on an asrequired basis assisting with peak capacity and covering staff leave. There areno fixed days.

About you

As an Orderly, you will beanexcellent communicator who is passionate about delivering a quality service.Due to the nature of work you must:

• Beefficient and able to manage your time effectively,
• Beable to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

It's essentialthat you:

• Obtain a clean driver's licence,
• Are physicallyfit and active with knowledge of heaving lifting techniques,
• Are eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visaat the time of applying.

Previous Hotel / Porter/ Orderly or Security worker experience would be advantageous, but is notessential.
