Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Lakes is seeking casual Orderly staff in Tauranga to support patient care and logistics across the Tauranga Hospital campus. This is more than just a transport role its about supporting the care and wellbeing of our patients by ensuring the safe and timely movement of people, supplies, and equipment around Tauranga Hospital and the wider campus. As an Orderly, your work underpins the daily function of multiple hospital services, from clinical care to logistics.
Your day will include transferring patients, handling medical equipment, and transporting vital goods. You will also be responsible for hospital vehicle driving duties, which may involve the use of manual and automatic cars, vans, or light trucks for on-campus and off-site deliveries. A clean, full New Zealand Drivers Licence is essential.
This is a physical, fast-paced role requiring both stamina and the ability to prioritise under pressure. You will need a sharp eye for safety, strong communication, and a team-first attitude.
We are offering casual positions, working `as and when required. We support and encourage people to gain their level 3, & 4 qualifications through career force. Our remuneration reflects the 24-hour service we provide with penal rates etc.
