Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Gisborne Hospital is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to join the Building & Engineering Services team. You will perform installations, maintenance, testing, fault-finding and repairs across hospital facilities to keep essential infrastructure safe and compliant.

The role requires NZ Registered Electrician status, an Electrical Practising Licence, and at least 5 years in industrial/commercial electrical environments, with strong fault-finding and safety skills.

Qualifications

Must hold NZ Registered Electrician status with current Electrical Practising Licence.
At least 5 years' practical experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical environments.
Sound knowledge of NZ electrical standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, fault-finding and repairs across Gisborne Hospital facilities.
Ensure buildings, plant and equipment operate safely and in compliance with legislation and standards.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
Identify hazards and proactively manage risks in the workplace.
Collaborate with the Building & Engineering Services team and support health and safety.
