Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand is seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant for Ashburton Hospital's WellFood Department. You will support feeding patients and their families, perform kitchen and cleaning duties, and provide friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires availability Monday to Sunday, 7 am–7 pm, and offers a starting rate of 28.63 NZD per hour under the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the general kitchen and cleaning duties including washing dishes.
• Providing great customer service to patients and whānau.
• Tray linedishing of meals and desserts.
• Collecting meal trays from patients.
• Closing the caf.
