Te Kura - The Correspondence School in Rotorua is seeking an Additional Teacher for a fixed-term role. You will work with an individual learner at home, providing support within an expert team to deliver personalised distance education from school terms.

The position requires a current New Zealand Teachers Registration and the right to reside or work in New Zealand. The role involves 24 hours per week: 15 hours of direct contact with the student and 9 hours for planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship management will help build strong connections with ākonga, whānau and Te Kura kaiako.
• Proactive engagement with learners supports personalised learning plans and progress.

Responsabilités

• Support an ākonga in their home-based learning programme and coordinate with family and kaiako.
• Manage planning and reporting tasks for the learner’s progress during the term time.
• Collaborate with the professional team to deliver an individualised learning journey.
