Job summary

Northern Health School is seeking a part-time, fixed-term teacher for Term 1, 2027 to cover a permanent absence. The role focuses on Primary and intermediate students (Years 1–8) across multiple NZ curriculum areas, including English, Health and physical education, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, and The arts.

We require an experienced primary-trained teacher with strong NZ curriculum knowledge and a basic understanding of NCEA, capable of adapting

Qualifications

• Experienced primary trained teachers with strong NZ curriculum knowledge.

• Certificated teacher with NZ teaching registration.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary to intermediate students (Years 1–8) with NZ curriculum.
• Provide individualised support for students unable to attend regular school.
• Cover for a permanent teacher on leave during Term 1, 2027.

Make a difference on an individual basis teaching students whose ill health prevents them attending their regular school.

Experienced primary trained teachers with strong NZ curriculum knowledge and basic understanding of NCEA for a fixed term appointment for Term 1, 2027, to cover for a permanent teacher on leave.

A good understanding of the New Zealand curriculum, and the ability to adapt this to meet individual student requirements.
