Community Care Trust Aotearoa is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for a new service in Dunedin. You’ll support young people with significant disabilities, promoting independence and community involvement through active, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with significant physical disabilities and complex needs.
• Ability to adapt activities and environments to individual abilities and preferences.
• Commitment to active support and meaningful participation for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and mobility support as needed.
• Adapt activities to suit each person’s abilities and interests.
• Build trusting relationships with young people and their whānau.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to support independence.
• Ensure safety and use equipment appropriately.
