Job summary

New Zealand Health Group – New Plymouth, North Island, is seeking energetic and motivated people to join our Disability Support Services team in New Plymouth. You will support our clients in residential services, helping them build confidence, make friends and engage in daily activities within the community.

The role is permanent full-time with flexible shift times. Training is provided, including NZQA Health & Wellbeing modules, and there is clinical supervision to ensure best practice.

Qualifications

• Empathy, respect and cultural awareness are important to support people from diverse backgrounds.
• Driver’s license is required to support clients in the community.

Responsibilities

• Support rangitahi and Tamariki to live as independently as possible.
• Work as a team to ensure consistent approaches.
• Help clients attend school or access education.
• Observe health concerns and support wellbeing.
• Help clients achieve goals and improve outcomes.
