Job summary

Scania New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technician. This full-time permanent role involves repair, maintenance, mechanical diagnostics, and servicing of heavy vehicles, with some travel to other facilities across New Zealand.

You should have NZQF Level 4 or at least 3 years of proven experience. A pride in quality workmanship, customer-focused mindset, and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• NZQF Level 4 qualification or at least 3 years proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• Pride in quality workmanship aligned with Scania standards.
• Excellent English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Repair & maintenance, mechanical diagnostics and servicing of heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Engine rebuilds & servicing as part of repair work.
