Job summary

Scania seeks a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician in Rotorua to perform diagnostics, servicing, repairs and engine rebuilds on Scania products. You will maintain vehicle systems, use genuine Scania parts, and uphold a strong health and safety culture while supporting a satisfied customer experience.

The role requires NZQF Level 4 or equivalent heavy-vehicle experience, strong English communication, and willingness to travel 0–25% across NZ workshops for training and collaboration.

Qualifications

• NZQF Level 4 qualification or at least 3 years proven experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• Heavy Vehicle qualifications and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to meet the minimum English standards required.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment testing, police checks, and medical examination.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to travel 0–25% to other workshops or training facilities across New Zealand as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on Heavy Vehicles, particularly Scania products, while ensuring a commitment to health and safety standards.
• Repair and maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct mechanical diagnostics and vehicle servicing.
• Complete engine rebuilds and servicing.
• Promote and foster a safe working environment.
• Support customer satisfaction and the team.
