Job summary

Scania New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technician. This full-time permanent role involves repair, maintenance, mechanical diagnostics, and servicing of heavy vehicles, with some travel to other facilities across New Zealand.

You should have NZQF Level 4 or at least 3 years of proven experience. A pride in quality workmanship, customer-focused mindset, and strong English communication are essential.

About the role

Location: Chrstchurch, some project-based travel may be required to other workshop or training facilities across New Zealand
Type: Full-time permanent
Pay rate: $39.00 - $41.00 per hour
Minimum guaranteed hours: At least 42.5 hours weekly

Life on the tools
The role will require you to compete tasks including but not limited to

• Repair & maintenance, mechanical diagnostics and service of vehicles & equipment
• Work on all aspects of repairs & maintenance, including engine re-builds & servicing
• Committed to health & safety promoting and fostering a safe work environment

About you

• You will have a relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or have at least 3 years proven experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician
