Job summary

Scania New Zealand is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team in Wiri. You will perform repair, maintenance and diagnostics on Scania vehicles, including engine rebuilds and servicing, in a modern Scania-owned workshop.

We value quality workmanship, health & safety, and customer satisfaction. NZ Driver’s Licence is required, forklift licence is desirable, and growth opportunities exist across the Scania network.

Qualifications

• Must have NZ Level 4 Heavy Vehicle Technician qualification or 3+ years proven experience.
• Demonstrates high quality workmanship and alignment with Scania values.
• Holds a current NZ Driver's Licence; forklift licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain vehicles and equipment with mechanical diagnostics.
• Perform engine rebuilds and routine servicing as required.
• Promote health and safety standards in the workshop.

About you

• You will have a relevant Level 4 qualification or have at least 3 years proven exp working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician
• You take pride in quality workmanship and doing things right. Our quality standards & Scania values mean everything to us, they will mean everything to you too
• You will thrive on ensuring customer satisfaction through your work and how you support your team – happy customers means happy you
• You will have a current NZ Driver’s License
• A forklift licence would be highly desirable
