We're looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to support the ongoing rehabilitation of the Puketutu Island facility and the placement of biosolids. This is a hands-on role where you'll primarily operate a large tractor towing three side-tipping trailers, as well as a wheel loader. Experience operating other machinery such as excavators, trucks, or similar equipment would be an advantage. As part of a small, close-knit team, you'll also assist with a range of site activities, including daily machine inspections, preventative maintenance, and manual tasks such as building cell walls and maintaining operational areas across the site. A strong focus on health and safety is essential, along with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help where needed.
The standard hours are 6:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, although some weekend work and work outside normal hours (including public holidays) may be required.
You are an experienced operator with around 2-3 years' experience working in environments such as construction, quarrying, earthworks or landfill operations.
You're comfortable operating heavy machinery, enjoy being part of a team and are willing to learn and develop your skills.
