Job summary

Qualifications

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Technician to join our Hamilton-based workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining customer vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance.

You’ll work across the latest model vehicles, from light commercial units through to high-productivity truck and trailer combinations up to 50 tonnes. This role suits someone who works well autonomously, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in identifying faults and preventative maintenance opportunities while completing work efficiently and to a high standard.

Our workshop has a consistent workflow, and hours can be varied to meet customer demand. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer flexibility for evening and weekend work.

This full-time position is ideal for an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician or a light automotive technician looking to transition into heavy diesel. Training will be provided for the right applicant.

Remuneration ranges from $29.66 - $43.00 per Hour, depending on experience, based on a minimum of 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A genuine interest in the trucking industry
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Experience in a similar light or heavy automotive role
  • Full driver’s licence (Class 2 HT licence preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum experience of 3 Years
  • Isuzu truck knowledge advantageous but not required
  • A positive, self-motivated attitude
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices
