Job summary

CAL Isuzu in Auckland is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our workshop. You will service and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring reliability, safety and performance across light commercial to heavy-duty trucks.

This full-time role offers training for the right candidate, flexible hours with possible evening and weekend work, and the chance to advance in New Zealand’s leading Isuzu truck dealership.

Qualifications

• Interest in the trucking industry and a passion for heavy vehicles.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Experience in a similar light or heavy automotive role.
• Minimum experience of 3 years post-apprenticeship.
• Isuzu truck knowledge is advantageous but not required.
• Positive, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults through repairs and adjustments.
• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through ongoing training.
