Job summary

DataCraft Analytics seeks an experienced Analytics Engineer based in Wellington or Whanganui to manage data pipelines and warehouses, turning data into actionable insights for customers.

The role uses Snowflake, Azure SQL Database, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, with Python and Power BI as valuable additions. Collaboration with analysts and engineers and direct client engagement are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Three years' commercial experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL skills, including data manipulation and stored procedures.
• Experience with relational databases, data ingestion, transformation and reporting.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear communication and ability to work with clients and colleagues.
• Curious, proactive approach to learning and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and improve data pipelines and warehouse processes.
• Use SQL to extract, transform and structure large, complex datasets.
• Automate data ingestion, cleaning and transformation.
• Investigate data quality issues and ensure accurate, reliable information.
• Work with analysts and software engineers to develop data and reporting solutions.
• Interact with clients to understand information needs and communicate results.
