Job summary

Lifeskills invites applications for a fulltime fixed term teaching role in Auckland, focused on aged care and disability care training. The successful candidate will join a dedicated teaching team and manage compliance and administrative functions to ensure high standards.

We seek a candidate with at least 2 years in health and wellbeing, 1+ year supervisory experience, and relevant NZ qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years practical industry experience in health and wellbeing, aged care.
• At least 1 year on-the-job supervisory or leadership experience.
• NZ Health & Wellbeing cert level 3 or higher, or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Join teaching team in Auckland to deliver aged care training.
• Ensure compliance and administrative duties are completed to a high standard.
• Provide mentorship and supervise learners during training sessions.

Skills Update Training Institute – Waitakere, North Island

Lifeskills (formally called Skills Update Ltd) is a well established private training organisation;operating in sites around the country since 1991. We are seeking an individual with experience in the aged care industry to join our teaching team in Auckland. This is a fulltime fixed term role.

Passion for working in the aged care and disability care industries are key, and you will also need impeccable organisational skills to ensure that all of the compliance and administrative functions of your job are completed to a high standard.

We are looking for someone with:

A minimum of 2 years practical industry experience in the health and wellbeing sector;specifically in aged care

At least one year of on the job supervisory or leadership experience

A NZ Certificate of Health and Wellbeing level 3 (or equivalent), or higher level relevant qualification

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Passion and energy for teaching and training others

Unit Standards 4098 and 11281, and an Adult Education and Training certificate at level 4 or 5, (or be willing to complete these courses)

Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, or hold a current NZ work permit.
