Job summary

Ahika Education, Training & Employment Recruitment Agency ltd in Christchurch is seeking experienced, compassionate caregivers to join the hospital-level care unit of our aged-care facility. Most shifts are afternoons and nights.

Applicants must have a First Aid Certificate, at least two years' caregiving experience, NZ work entitlement, and reliable transport. Interviews will be conducted in person in Christchurch.

Qualifications

• Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
• Have at least two years' experience in a similar caregiving role
• Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• If working under a visa, have at least three years remaining before expiry, as we are not an accredited employer and cannot provide visa sponsorship
• Have reliable personal transport, as some shifts finish when public transport is unavailable
• Be well presented, dependable and professional
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be physically present in Christchurch and available for an in-person interview
• Disclose any relevant criminal convictions, subject to applicable New Zealand law
• Be willing and able to complete pre-employment screening
• Provide two contactable professional references
