Job summary

Mindtree seeks an experienced healthcare educator to join our Christchurch teaching team. The role focuses on delivering engaging nursing practice teaching across diverse settings, including classrooms, simulations, and clinical placements.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of healthcare teaching experience, hold NZNC registration (APC desirable), a current driver’s licence, and the right to work in New Zealand. A supportive environment and dedicated resources are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of healthcare teaching or training experience.
• NZNC registration with Annual Practising Certificate is desirable but not essential.
• Current driver’s licence is required.
• New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid NZ work permit is necessary for employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and evidence-based teaching across nursing practice areas.
• Facilitate learning in classrooms, simulation settings, and clinical placement environments.
• Support student achievement and readiness for practice through innovative teaching methods.
• Collaborate with the institute, regulators, and internal teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and in line with governance and policies.

Mindtree is a well established private training organisation. We are seeking an individual with experience in the healthcare industry to join our teaching team in Christchurch. This is a parmanent fulltime role.

Passion for working in the aged care and disability care industries are key, and you will also need impeccable organisational skills to ensure that all of the compliance and administrative functions of your job are completed to a high standard.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver engaging and evidence-based teaching across a range of nursing practice areas.
• Facilitate learning in classrooms, simulation settings, and clinical placement environments.
• Support student achievement and readiness for practice through innovative and research-informed teaching methods.
• Collaborating with institute, regulators, and an amazing internal team.
• Ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and by the book.

We are looking for someone with:

• Must have at least one year of healthcare teaching or training experience.
• Holds current NZNC registration and an Annual Practising Certificate-Desired not essential
• Holds a current driver\'s licence
• Brings strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and escalation skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Passion and energy for teaching and training others
• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, or hold a current NZ work permit.
