NZTA | Waka Kotahi in Wellington is seeking an experienced people leader to head the Regulatory System Evidence & Insights team, building a strong evidence base to inform regulation of New Zealand's land transport system.

The team develops and maintains a system-wide view of regulatory risk and performance, identifying emerging threats, risks, issues and opportunities, and providing evidence and insight to support robust regulatory decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience leading evidence, insight, risk or intelligence functions.
• Track record building high-performing teams.
• Ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of regulatory/public-sector decision-making.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a high-performing evidence and insights team.
• Deliver evidence, insights and advice that support risk-based regulatory decision-making.
• Maintain a system-wide view of regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Lead regulatory risk assessments including vulnerabilities and controls.
• Drive use of hindsight, insight and foresight in decision-making.
• Develop regulatory risk profiles and evidence bases.
• Engage with senior leaders and stakeholders to inform decisions.
