Job summary

NZ Super Fund is seeking a senior leader to head the Data Analytics team within the Investments group. The role focuses on advanced analytics, quantitative modelling and AI to improve investment decision making and value creation across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, you will set priorities, coach staff, and deliver scalable models while partnering with IT, Data Technology and Data Services to lift capability and governance across the Guardians.

Qualifications

• 7+ years applying advanced quantitative techniques in finance or data science.
• Proven track record delivering statistical or AI models into production.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex concepts.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Analytics team to meet the business needs of Investments.
• Develop new quantitative and AI models and tools for strategic priorities.
• Prioritise and allocate work across the team balancing value and resources.
• Manage analytics projects from methodology to delivery and support.
• Provide strategic advice to Investments teams on data and tech capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with IT, Data Tech and Data Services.
