Fisher & Paykel Appliances, a global premium appliance brand based in New Zealand, invites an experienced leader to join as Head of Digital Product Engineering at our Penrose HQ. You will guide a 6–12 software engineers, shaping AI-first digital experiences across ecommerce and consumer platforms.

You’ll set engineering standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design, Data and IT to translate ambitious digital goals into reliable, scalable software that delights customers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading software engineering teams and delivering complex digital products.
• A track record of balancing speed, quality, reliability and risk in engineering.
• Experience with AI technologies and embedding AI-native tooling into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a 6–12 person software engineering team.
• Own the technical foundation for web experiences across ecommerce and other platforms.
• Set engineering standards and practices across the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Platform and IT leadership to deliver high-impact software.
• Shape an AI-first engineering practice and responsible AI-enabled customer experiences.
