NZ Venue Co LTD in Queenstown is seeking an enthusiastic Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen and develop exciting menus. You will manage food quality, costs, and ensure exceptional service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

A creative flair and strong team leadership are essential for daily operations in a bustling pub/venue. The role requires a minimum of three years’ experience, willingness to work a rotating roster, and a commitment to community engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a chef role.
• Ability to provide high quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong focus on food safety compliance.
• Excellent customer service standards.
• Engage with local community and guests.
• Experience in bar/pub environment helpful.

Responsabilités

• Plan and develop menus aligned with venue standards.
• Manage food and labour costs, ordering, deliveries and invoices.
• Monitor quality of dishes from prep to presentation.
• Coordinate kitchen and front-of-house communication on standards and practices.
• Demonstrate techniques and cooking methods.
• Prepare and cook food to consistently high standard.
• Enforce hygiene regulations and maintain kitchen logs and temperature records.
• Recruit, train and onboard new staff and build a high-performing team.
