Job summary

Waste Management NZ is seeking a reliable, motivated and responsible individual to join the Technical Services team at our Solvent Recovery Plant in Auckland. The role involves safely operating an industrial distillation unit and related equipment, with full training and PPE provided.

We offer a supportive environment, ongoing training, and opportunities for developing skills in hazardous waste handling while working shift-based hours in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Can pass pre-employment police, drug and alcohol test.
• Experience in production or operations environment preferred.
• Non-smoker is a plus, safety-focused attitude.
• Must have reliable transport to site.
• Willing to work rotating shifts Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and operate the distillation unit.
• Operate the boiler.
• Decant small containers to an IBC.
• Empty, clean and move 240L wheeled bins containing oil filters.
• Transport liquids using pumps.
• Palletise export waste.
• Perform ancillary site cleaning tasks.
