Job summary

Auckland Harbour Bridge Alliance is seeking a senior leader to provide strategic governance and accountability for the stewardship, performance, investment, maintenance and resilience of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. This role sits on the Alliance Leadership Team and drives governance, risk management and cross-functional priorities to protect long-term bridge performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Hons) or equivalent senior-level experience.
• 15+ years in major infrastructure, asset management, programme delivery or critical asset leadership.
• Experience managing critical transport assets, including investment, risk and resilience.
• Experience overseeing financial performance, investment planning and funding proposals.
• Proven risk management, resilience planning and emergency response leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen, governance capability and executive reporting experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in high-consequence environments.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior strategic leadership and governance for Auckland Harbour Bridge stewardship, performance, investment, maintenance and resilience.
• Lead governance and decision-making with the Alliance Leadership Team to protect long-term bridge performance.
• Develop and present investment proposals, funding submissions and programme recommendations.
• Foster collaboration with clients, alliance partners, advisers, contractors and public-sector stakeholders.
