Job summary

VINZ in Christchurch CBD is seeking a Compliance/Vinning Assistant for a six-month fixed-term maternity cover, starting immediately. You’ll work hands-on with vehicles, assist the vinning and compliance process, and handle data entry and documentation.

Ideal candidates are practical, detail-focused and comfortable using basic tools and the NZTA systems. A clean driver’s licence and willingness to learn are important as you follow established processes and help ensure accurate vehicle records.

Qualifications

• Good computer and data-entry skills.
• Confidence using basic hand tools.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to follow established processes accurately.
• A clean driver's licence, ideally a full licence.
• A willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information and record on sheets/tablets.
• Create vehicle records in NZTA Landata system and assign VINs.
• Record pass/fail results and affix VIN plates for passed vehicles.
• Use basic tools to remove interior panels or components when needed.
• Ensure the correct process is followed on every check.
