Job summary

Temperzone Limited in Mangere, Auckland, is seeking a hands-on Production Leading Hand to support daily operations in the production department. You will coordinate work schedules, maintain quality standards, support staff, and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Foreman with day-to-day production line operations.
• Follow weekly production schedules and plan ahead to ensure parts and materials are ready.
• Liaise with other departments to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Monitor and advise on overtime requirements when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of quality systems (ISO9001 level).
• Ensure only quality-approved work enters, moves through, and leaves the department.
• Develop work instructions, samples, and carry out periodic quality checks.
• Assist with staffing requirements, including recruitment and induction.
• Train staff on correct techniques and update training progress charts annually.
• Promote and maintain safe work practices and use of safety equipment.
• Keep machinery and the department clean, safe, and well-maintained.
