Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking three reliable Groundspersons in Wellington to maintain landscapes through basic horticultural work, annual planting, and spray maintenance. You will handle hand tools and small power tools, with some nights or after-hours call-outs required.

A Class 1 licence is essential, Class 2 preferred, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach is valued. There is a focus on safety around traffic and delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

  • Full Class 1 licence required, Class 2 preferred.
  • Basic horticultural skills with Growsafe certification preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable, proactive and team‑focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence with outdoor work around traffic and physical tasks.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for three reliable, hands-on people to join our Open Space Management team as Groundspersons.


In this role, you’ll help keep our landscapes looking sharp through basic horticultural maintenance, annual planting, and spray maintenance. You’ll use a mix of hand tools and small power tools, and no two days will look exactly the same. It’s a minimum 40-hour week, with some flexibility needed for occasional night shift work and after-hours call-outs.

  • Carry out basic horticultural and landscape maintenance
