Job summary

New World Te Kauwhata is seeking a motivated Grocery Assistant / Online Delivery Driver to deliver orders to customers’ doors with a strong focus on service. The role is full-time and includes one weekend day, involving safe lifting and navigating various properties to ensure timely deliveries.

You will load orders, assist customers, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced store and delivery environment. Applicants must have a valid Class 1 license and the right to work in New Zealand.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Grocery Assistant / Online Delivery Driver to join our team and play an important role in delivering a great shopping experience from the store to our customers’ doors.

This is a Full-time position, with shifts including one weekend day.

About the role

As a Grocery Assistant / Online Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and safely delivering orders to customers at their homes or designated addresses.

During your shift, you can expect to:

• Load and transport grocery orders safely.
• Deliver shopping orders to customers within the required timeframes.
• Navigate driveways, hills, stairs and other access areas to safely deliver orders to customers’ doors.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers regarding their orders.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and provide helpful recommendations when required.
• Regularly lift up to 15kg, as well as bend, reach and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Maintain a high standard of health, safety, cleanliness and customer service at all times.
